We specialize in a comprehensive range of investigative services and are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Job Description: As a Process Server at Freestate Investigations, you will be responsible for the timely and lawful delivery of legal documents to parties involved in court cases. You will play a key role in the judicial system by ensuring that due process is upheld.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve legal documents to individuals involved in court proceedings, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Locate individuals to whom documents need to be served using various investigative techniques.
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of affidavits and reports of service.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all dealings.
  • Travel within Washington, D.C. and Prince George’s County, Maryland to complete services.
  • Communicate effectively with office staff to update on status.
  • Proficiently use ServeManager.com software and Mobile Application to manage service details and document workflows.
  • Must have a smartphone capable of downloading and using Servemanager App, taking pictures with GPS data of every attempt, and notifying us of any issues encountered.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to gain access to buildings and navigate various environments.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Process Server or similar law enforcement or legal service role.
  • Fluency in ServeManager.com software is required.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for documentation and communication purposes, including capturing GPS-tagged photographs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on one’s feet.
  • Knowledge of all local laws and regulations surrounding the service of process.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in criminal justice or related field is a plus.
