Unless On Demand Service is selected, attempts are completed on varied days and at varied times based on routing and server availability. On Demand includes one scheduled attempt during a date and time window confirmed by our office.
The first attempt is typically targeted within 5 business days of order acceptance. Completion of all included attempts may take additional time. See the Routine Service FAQ below for full timing information.
Severe weather, unsafe road conditions, or other safety concerns may delay attempts. We resume service as soon as conditions safely allow.
One order includes one affidavit or proof of service. Separate people, businesses, service addresses, case numbers, or affidavit requirements each need their own order or may involve additional fees.
After you submit and pay, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We’ll contact you if anything is unclear or if extra payment is needed. See our Terms of Service for full policies.

Answers to the questions we hear most about ordering, timing, and proof of service.
Yes. Payment in full is required before work begins for all new clients and clients without approved billing terms. Established clients may be approved for invoicing at our discretion.
We accept credit cards, checks, and electronic checks. Work may be delayed until a check or electronic check clears unless approved billing terms apply.
Yes, but each person, business, address, case number, or separate affidavit needed should generally be entered as a separate order unless our office instructs otherwise. Each order includes one affidavit or proof of service. If the documents involve multiple recipients at the same address, contact our office before submitting so we can confirm whether same address additional recipient pricing applies.
For Same Day service, call our office before placing the order to confirm availability. Same Day service is not available unless our office confirms it, even when the order is submitted before noon. For 2 Day Rush, orders submitted after noon may be treated as received the next business day for timing purposes.
Yes. You will receive an initial confirmation when the order is submitted and another notification when the assignment is accepted and processing begins.
Yes. Each person, business, service address, case number, or separate affidavit needed generally requires a separate order. Each order includes one affidavit or proof of service. If multiple recipients can be served at the same address during the same visit, reduced same address pricing may apply. Additional recipient pricing starts at $50 for Pro Se / Self Represented clients and $35 for Attorney / Law Firm / Process Server clients. The reduced rate applies only when the recipients can be served at the same address, during the same visit, and the same method of service is legally appropriate.
The first attempt is typically targeted within 5 business days of order acceptance. Completing all three included attempts commonly takes approximately two weeks in total, though volume, location, access conditions, and subject availability can affect that timeline. The 5 business day first attempt window and the two-week completion estimate are targets, not guarantees. If you have a court deadline or require service by a specific date, call our office before placing your order so we can confirm availability and recommend the appropriate service level.
Not with standard service. Specific date or time scheduling may be available through On Demand Service or an approved optional enhancement. Availability must be confirmed by our office, and additional fees apply.
Same Day Rush prioritizes the first attempt for the same day when availability is confirmed by phone. A specific attempt time is not included. On Demand Service includes one scheduled attempt during a date and time window confirmed by our office.
Possibly, on a case by case basis. Weekend and holiday attempts depend on jurisdiction, document type, staffing, safety, and whether service is legally permitted. On Demand scheduling may include a weekend or holiday only when confirmed by our office.
We attempt service as conditions safely allow and resume as soon as it is safe. Service may be delayed, rescheduled, or suspended because of snow, ice, storms, road closures, building restrictions, emergencies, or other unsafe conditions.
Most process service options include up to 3 attempts at one address. On-Demand Service includes one scheduled attempt. The pricing card for the selected service controls if a service includes a different number of attempts.
We complete the attempts included with the selected service and document the results. If service cannot be completed, we may recommend additional attempts, a new address, skip tracing, a stakeout, or court authorized alternative service depending on the facts and the client instructions. Check out our blog How to Serve Papers to Someone You Can’t Find for more information.
Additional attempts may be purchased after the included attempts are completed or when the circumstances justify more work. Pricing depends on the location, urgency, timing requested, address status, and any special instructions. Additional work begins only after authorization and payment when required.
Routine service does not include a separate email after every unsuccessful attempt. We contact you when there is substantive information to report, when instructions or additional payment are needed, or when the assignment is completed. After service is completed or all authorized attempts are exhausted, we provide the applicable affidavit, proof of service, nonservice affidavit, or final report.
No. There’s no limit on the number of pages you can submit.
Up to 50 pages are printed at no additional charge. For 51 pages or more, printing is billed at $0.20 per page for the entire document set. For example, a 51 page document is billed for all 51 pages. Required printing charges must be paid before the order is printed or released for service.
PDF is preferred. Documents must be complete, legible, properly issued, and ready for service. The client is responsible for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of the documents provided.

If an order is cancelled before work begins, a $35 cancellation and handling fee may apply. Once work begins, the service fee may be considered earned and nonrefundable. Work includes file review, administrative setup, document review, printing, routing, scheduling, assignment, communication, research, travel, or any service attempt.
You may request an upgrade, subject to availability and payment of the additional fee. A service level cannot be downgraded after work begins, and previously paid fees are not refunded.
If the error is reported before work begins, the address can usually be corrected. If review, setup, routing, assignment, travel, or an attempt has already occurred, a new address may require a new service fee. Additional charges may also apply for skip tracing, travel, or special handling.
Reply to the confirmation email with the enhancement requested. The office will confirm availability and provide any additional invoice. The enhancement is not approved or scheduled until the office confirms it and any required payment is received.
Specific timing may be scheduled only when approved and confirmed by our office. Weekend and holiday scheduling also depends on jurisdiction, legal permissibility, staffing, access, and safety. No service result is guaranteed.
A stakeout is a scheduled block during which a server waits at or near a service location to improve the chance of contact with a difficult to reach or evasive subject. Stakeouts are billed hourly and require a 4 hour minimum for each scheduled session. Standard service is often recommended first unless reliable timing information is available.

Yes. We coordinate service nationwide through our established network of professional process servers. You keep one point of contact, one order process, one invoice, and one office tracking the assignment from start to finish. Pricing, timing, service methods, affidavit requirements, and filing availability may vary by jurisdiction, but we handle the coordination for you.
The Maryland Foreign Subpoena fee includes review for common processing issues, preparation and filing of the Maryland subpoena request, the standard Maryland court domestication fee, courthouse follow up, pickup after issuance, rush service of process with up to 3 attempts, one affidavit or proof of service, and local court filing when applicable. Additional court costs, certified copies, excessive printing, shipping, or special handling may be billed separately.
Skip tracing is used to identify likely current addresses, contact information, relatives, and other location leads. Asset searches are separate investigations used to identify reportable property, financial accounts, employment information, business interests, or other assets when legally permitted. A basic skip trace does not include a bank, brokerage, employment, or full asset search.
Yes. Skip Trace may be ordered as a standalone service when appropriate. It does not include a service attempt unless service of process is ordered separately.
Professional client orders generally follow standardized intake, billing, document, and communication workflows. Pro Se and direct business orders typically require additional intake support, administrative handling, and communication, which is reflected in the pricing.
If you are ordering on behalf of a law firm, use the Attorney / Law Firm / Process Server pricing.
Attorney / Law Firm / Process Server pricing applies to attorneys, law firms, government agencies, collection firms, and process serving companies ordering in a professional capacity. Standard businesses, landlords, property managers, individuals, and self represented parties generally use Pro Se / Self Represented pricing unless an attorney is placing the order on their behalf or our office approves otherwise.
